Home School Magazines
Homeschool Magazines?? Remember the days when the one magazine you had laying around the house was Newsweek or National Geographic? As you well know, magazines have changed. Today if you would look at my house, you would see a magazine about tips on how to simplify your life, a magazine that a TV talk show host created, a magazine focused on healthy cooking, and a magazine all about metal working (that's my husbands!). Today everywhere you look, no matter what your interest are, there is a magazine to fit. Don't believe me? Just step inside any one of the large book stores and they have a whole section devoted to magazines. Sometimes I just sit there mesmerized by what people make magazines about! Weddings, Tri-athletes, Working Women, Fashion, Teens Only Magazines, Cars, Pets, and the list goes on and on. You can imagine where I am heading with this, Homeschooling Magazines! Yep, there are some of those out there too! Here are some of the major homeschooling magazines: *Classical Homeschooling Magazine: A magazine devoted to the classical style of homeschooling your child. This magazine prints 1 issue per season. *Eclectic Homeschooling Online Magazine: This is an online homeschooling magazine for those who are practicing the eclectic method of homeschooling. *Everything Homeschooling Online Magazine: This magazine give you a broad range of homeschooling information via email with 12 issues per year. *Home Education Magazine: With 6 issues per year, this is one of the longest running Homeschool magazines. Their website also offers a wealth of information. These are just a few I mentioned, check them out and the others that are out there and I'm sure you will find a homeschooling magazine you will like! Carol Currie Carol Currie is highly active in the homeschooling community and is the author of several homeschool e-books that guide parents through the process of homeschooling. |
